    Where to dispose batteries?

I have a number of rechargeable batteries that have gone dead. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to dispose them? I don't want to simply dump them in the chute for environmental reasons. Thanks

    Vosonic VP8390

Anyone tried the new Vosonic VP8390 yet? Just wondering if the OLED screen has any significant improvement over the 8360. :dunno:

SOS : Will wait until 5:30 pm

The 580EX is a dedicated flash for you Canon DSLR. Just mount the flash and light sphere on you 300D, switch the flash mode to E-TTL, your camera mode to P. They system will take care of everything. If you are within the effective range of the flash, everything will turn out perfect...

    430EX as a Macro Flash

I have been using the 550EX on a Wimberley Bracket for my Macro shoots. Personally, I feel that this is an overkill and the weight of the 550EX also makes the setup difficult to handhold. I wonder if the 430EX is a better alternative since it comes with a on-flash exposure compensation (only...

    Sigma Lens Horror Stories

If it happens at certain angles at night, looks like it is flaring, not fogging. Use a lens hood.;)

    Macro lens for portrait?

For digital shots, you can do skin softening during post processing. IMO, a soft lens is not necessary. It is easier to soften a sharp picture than to sharpen a soft one. ;)

Problem with Sanyo 2100 Rechargeable Batteries

I have problems with my Sanyo 2300mAh batteries though I am not a heavy user. When I insert this particilar set into the charger, the blinking error light comes on. I have to re-plus or change the positions of the batteries. Tried other batteries on the same charger and it works ok.;(...

    Camera Haversack

With all that stuff, I think you will need the Lowepro Nature Trekker or equivalent. If are really looking for a good camera backpack, I would recommend the Tamrac Expedition Series (I think Expedition 7 = Nature Trekker in size). IMO, Tamrac is much better built & designed than Lowepro...

Canon provides 2 yr extended warrenty

I have a 20D that is well over 1-year old (no more warranty). Recently, I encountered some problems with my hotshoe (loose internal wiring). Sent it back to Canon with my flash. They serviced and fixed the problem at no charge (& without questions on purchase date). Good customer service...

Where to find Tamrac Backpack in S'pore

Saw the new range of Tamrac Expedition backpacks on their website. Looks very good with the extra pockets. Anyone knows where I can get them in Singapore? Looking at the size, I think it will be very expensive to mail order from B&H:( .

Tripod Collar for Canon 70-200mm lens

Went down to CP last Saturday. The 'B' collar for the 100mm Macro costs $250. That is over 25% of the price of the lens. Not worth the investment. I use to have the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8. The tripod collar fits the Canon 100mm Macro pretty well.

    Sigma 150mm f2.8 Macro

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this lens. I have read quite a number of positive reviews on overseas forums but would like to hear from the local folks. Anyone knows where to buy and how much it costs in Singapore? Thks!

Tripod Collar for Canon 70-200mm lens

Thanks for the info. $160 for the 70-200mm tripod collars or the one for the 100mm f2.8 Macro? I understand that the collar for 100mm macro has an additional spacer.:dunno:
