How about getting a 1100d and a 24-70 2.8, with a 320ex. Probably come to the same as 7d with $500 lens. 24-70 is a good workhorse lens and will stay with her for many years to come. Plus the 2.8 will be useful if she plans to do low light shooting in future.

Using Samsung galaxy s2...it's a breeze! Better yet, there's the infuse 4g with 4.5" screen. I guess bigger screen is always better but it is a trade off between portability and comfort viewing.

Used transcend 8gb class 10 sdhc and sandisk normal 8gb class 4 sdhc, so far no issues with start up :)

How about try calling the departmental stores like Harvey or courts to check? The other alternative is to check Amazon.com
