I went eastern Europe last year with a D7200. I agree the Tokina wide zoom plus the Nikon 16-80 will pretty cover almost all your needs. For greater reach, I also brought along the Nikon 70-200 F4. Light weight and great optics.The 3 mentioned lenses will cover 11 to 200 mm superbly.

Read Thom Hogan's website update on Photokina. All other manufacturers swimming upstream with new products and Nikon heading the wrong direction...No mention of DL or the future of Nikon 1.

This lens is still hard to come by. Must order or reserve if you are interested. I got mine about one month after ordering. Love this lens for its light weight and portability. Very sharp even with 1.4 teleconverter.

Story sounds familiar. Heard in the early days of the D800 release when stock was limited, dealers had to sell X number of Nikon 1 cameras to secure their supply. Will wait till next year to buy my 300 F4.
