and I completely agree with your comment about the bag and the dude. but I think its a little hard to get rid of them in this photo...the next time I get a chance to take a similar shot will try to minimize these distractions.

haha yeah i instantly noticed those distracting elements as well after i reviewed the photo but there was nothing i could do. if i ever get the chance to set this up again i'll be sure to get rid of the bag and random people haha.thanks for the pointers =)

Mainly composition and colour saturation (edited using curves in CS4) but any other pointers and observations are welcome

wow...I really like the 1st and 4th shots! The 5th could have been great too if not for the rather harsh shadow across the face? Gotta agree with Zenten on that point mate. But still, really nice =)
the 70-200 f4l is a really great lens. really sharp. and if paired with ur 15-85 i think u'd be all set. as for travel lens...personally i use the tamron 28-75 f2.8. its half the px of the canon version and good enough for travel shots in my opinion.
hey man. like the vibrant colours but i agree skin tone a bit flat. of the lot i like the first photo for both weiting, and amanda best. nice. nxt time we go shoot again haha.
