Wow Lifeworld, I'm really impressed with your shots of Hong Kong, will be heading there myself in a week's time. AND I have been eyeing the FZ20 for a while now, the OIS is amazing! But do you find that, because of its size and heft, you would be more reluctant to bring it out on every ocassion...

Just did somemore searching and found that Steve, the editor of Steve's Digicams and Jeff Keller, editor of DCresource.com both said it will be at least after Feb 2005 that an S2 is likely to come out... http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1896 Can't wait!

Cool thanks, IMO I think Canon has the best colour handling Did I lower the quality of the pic too much? It's definitely lost its sharpness here... And yes, it's not in perfect focus either :embrass:

When will the next batch of Canon digicams be coming out? I was originally thinking of getting the Powershot S1 IS, but held back due to its low image resolution (3.2MP). A Powershot S2 maybe? And hopefully with AF assist too!

One satisfied customer here! I'm still using my A40, trusty old thing. And it works really well :) Here's a macro shot I took of my fire shrimp a year ago:

oops!!! took me a while to figure that out... so dense...now it's awesome!

Yup it is, from alan photo... It does block the flash though...How to use the macro? Do I need another adaptor?

I got my wide angle lens for $75...adaptor for $25... oh yah, so I guess I'm an A40 user now too : )

gee thanks djchris, the money advice is good :) has anyone printed out photos up to A4 with the A40? After some thinking, perhaps printing 5-6R is cool too... I just don't want to be short-changed when I want to blow up pictures I don't need anything bigger than A4 size...hmm...

Can I check with you all, is 2megapixels enough? That's the only thing that is making me not sure about the A40...can anyone help explain? I heard some pple swear that only 3MP and above is acceptable...:dunno:
