The Samyang 85mm F1.4 lens a good option if you dont mind manual focus. The IQ is quite good. Albnok posted reviews of it in Dyxum and Alphanatics. They are sold under different brands like Bowers, Opteka, Rokinson and etc. The 85mm seems to get very good reviews from what I have read so far.

A macro lens and external flash is quite handy for aquarium photography.

I will definitely pick A300 anytime over the A330 if you are going into DSLR. The A330 is more like a transit camera between PNS to DSLR. Grip is for kids and uses PNS battery. The A300 has better grip, more battery juice, fast Liveview, takes CF card for storage and the IQ is very good for...

I dont have the problems you mentioned with my CZ1680. How about some photo's of the vigneting? Did you stack filters or use a high profile filter on it?

I have it too and you will have to go very close to shoot bugs if that it your intention. My 100mm macro does most of that. The 30mm is more like an alternative to 50mm for me. Nice to walk around with it. Some quick and dirty sample shots Cheers!

I bought it in SonyStyle Malaysia and I cant remember how much I paid anymore. It isnt cheap though but if you gonna pay so much for CZ glass, dont put cheap filters on them. B+W super slims cost a lot too and your Zeiss lens cap wont fit them.

I use the Sony CZ filters...no vigneting at all experienced so far. It is ultra slim profile. :D

For Alpha crop camera, the CZ1680 have few peers. I shopped for 6 months before buying mine, considering the Tamron 17-50 and SAL16-105. After much some testings and comparisons between the 3, I found the contrast of the CZ1680 the best. The colors are good too. Strangely the CZ1680 is overall...

I find that my CZ1680 to be quite capable of matching my primes. The contrast and color is very nice. The bokeh isnt as good as G lens though but overall it is worth every cent.

I got mine from a new shop called SLR Revolution at Funan just last week. Having loads of fun with it. I am beginning to think that this lens will compete for a lot of time on the camera with my CZ16-80. :thumbsup:
