Hey all, I'm getting a travel camera and would like to know if K-X is okay for the job. I need it to be able to work well in very cold weather(think russian winters) and very dusty conditions (mini sandstorms in border cities). I'm not going to be an idiot and bring it for white water...

And the camera still freaking works! I am duly impressed.

^actually both sucks under low light. your best bet would be DSLR because of the larger sensors. but in theory, yes the LX 3 would work better because of the larger aperture. i remember seeing a comparison of both cameras at dpreview but i can't seem to find it now. just google LX3 vs G10 and...

Actually, i think she's looking for a cam that has the least lag cos babies won't pose for you and a lot of the "aw..so cute" moments are gone in a flash and all you get are blurry pics.

I like the softness and I'm not going to comment on the lack of details in the eyes because i'm not sure if it's on purpose. it would work both ways, with or w/o details, but the one thing u need to consider is the boobs part. the black shadow between the breast looks weird. her left(my right)...

^ no no, it's not OT. Correct me if I'm wrong, what you're trying to say is that for superzoom prosumers, the lens would generally work well across the whole range(from you not zooming in on anything to highest possible zoom) whereas for DSLR superzoom lenses it generally doesnt work as well...

YSLee: hahas. yeah really picky :embrass: But basically it's like what ZerocoolAstra says. I like the cartoon effect that fisheye gives so I might want the camera to be able to attach some form of fisheye adaptor to it. Which was why I was undecided about the Canon SX1 or the Canon SX10...
