Which is your choice for a walk-about lens ?

    I'm using the Nikon 18-200.

Sillica gel; thirsty hippo; dry boxes; dehumidifier lamp in a cupboard which one?

A suggestion though, line your toaster oven with aluminium foil and air your over after that. Silical gel can sometimes break down after too much reheating and you don't want the powder to stick to your toaster over tray. And the slight chemical smell left over can be quite irritating to...

    Nikon D60?

If you really need or prefer a live view then go for the D90. I used a Nikon prosumer prior to my getting a D60. But I hated the live view. I rarely if at all used it. And when I did it was because I was trying to take a photo str8 up or at a funny angle. But the screen was rotatable...

    Saint Andrew's - School Reopens!

AHEM.... there was no tree infront of Woodsville house. The large rain tree in the center circus that most of us are familiar with is still there... at the steps leading to Robert's court from the Upper court. YTP made a big issue about keeping that tree since he planted it when he was a...

    Saints Clubsnappers!!

Nope... It was spearheaded by a group of 10 or so very persistent guys... 1 of whom was extremely persistent in sending emails flying....

    Saint Andrew's - School Reopens!

Ahem.... ZX... they didn't chop down YTP's tree... it still there. The tree that he was probably referring to is the Banyan tree at the foot of Graham White Drive? Or were you refering to the banyan tree at the top of the slope? If you are then that tree was cut down by the Ministry of...

    Nikon VR lens55mm-200mm or 18mm-200mm

I use the twin lens combi as well, but found on my recent trip abroad that I could have done with the 18-200. True the images are well... crisper on the individual lenses, but I also missed quite a few shots cause the subject of my shot either flew off, swam off, walked off or drove off by the...

Remove Camera Li-ion battery before flight takeoff ?

I kept the batt in when I was travelling in December and didn't bother to take them out. I never did so with my older prosumer either. Basically cause I use the cam on board the plane.
