I replaced the windshield of a shotgun mic with a third party and it is way better. Original windshields are often cheap and poorly made.

Just did a quick test using dpreview's test image. There is no noticeable difference between the two versions in Xtrans raw processing, so disappointingly there is no improvement.

I heard from a black XT1 user that the paint peels off easily but my GS looks as good as new after two months. Maybe that is the advantage.
