Bought one for my EX580II. Under TTL mode the pilot does NOT blink unless the flash needs to augment the main flash battery power.To test whether it's working, put your flash unit to manual and full flash. Fire the flash unit, you will see the unit LED blink to augment the recycling time. If it does it working fine !
