Thanks for the tip ... yah, I figure that too. The 2nd floor is not high enough to go above the fence. And there is no roof like the Sky Suite across. I plan to go to the grand stand too. I think I may end up mostly human subject shots and the pit lane walk Will post if I get good shoots =)

24-70 f2.8 is a good sharp lense. But if you don't have a rock steady hands, then at 70, may be a bit blurry. It is also a heavy lens. I myself use the 24-105 f4 and find it good enough for day to day use ... The IS helps ;). Then you can play around with primes Only get EF-Ss if you are not...

With SGD going up to SGD1 = HKD5.9, it will look even more attractive! *sigh* I paid SGD3.3k for mine

October is rainy season in Yunnan area from what I read ... so may want to bring some protection I will be going to both Lijiang and Zhongdian (Shangri-la) in November. But I managed to arrange tour to bring me around to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Leaping Tiger Gorge and Baishui Terrace...

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM II, because it's my latest ... but like the others, I also like many many other lenses. :D

The 70-200 f4 is good enough if you do a walk about and got nearer to the fence. If you plan to sit at the grand stand all the time ... you will get the fense unless you have access to the Green Rooms above or the Paddox where you can shoot above the fence. I will be at Turn 1 ... haaahaa
