Really great shots there! The CHE is one very skittish raptor and you have done really well getting them in several different environments.

Thanks shgfun. Its hard enough to see this bird let alone getting a decent sized shot or one with a clean background.

The Indian Cuckoo can be a skittish bird and tend to stay at mid-storey level. Today this particular bird decided to come a little lower and gave me the chance to take a nice full-framed clear shot.

Both favourites of mine, Crimson Sunburd taken with the D2X. This was voted as our National bird a few years ago. Given that Xmas is around the corner, I thought it would be nice to post this fella. Season's Greetings everyone.

jnet6 that is a Brahminy Kite, not an Eagle. Though the White-Bellied Sea Eagles have been known to feed at SBG too. Always nice to get a flight shot of raptor with food. A little less sharpening and bringing up the shadows a bit will help.
