How about the Oly E-500? :D all the different systems have their own pros and cons, so you'll have to see what particular features are important to you? i dun believe there is one perfect camera for every person, so we all have to make do with whichever we decide :) have a read around...

Hi all! It has been a while since my last post, but in any case.... =p I have joined the Oly club! :D so now considering getting a macro lens *gasps* seems like the zuiko 35mm is 'better' than the 50mm but sigma has just released (or is it just going to be released?) a 105mm macro for the...

    Av mode????

wahh...thanks all for the replies once again :) n sorry for repeating myself earlier :embrass: hope this is not a silly qn but...leading on from above.... exposure consists of the aperture opening (amount of light entering), shutter speed(time allowed for light to enter in) and ISO...

    Av mode????

Thanks Zaknafein! :p I guess i meant more like, after setting the scene mode, there is actually no need to do any metering, just compose and take the shot :) So the scene mode probably takes over (everything?) what one would do manually? Sorry if I seem to be repeating myself :embrass:

    Av mode????

Thanks for the replies! My camera just a simple pns (HP R707) so it doesn't have that many manual functions. Been trying out macro mode with portrait scene enabled (instead of setting larger aperture in Av) for some close-up shots and can't tell the difference :P As for like sunset mode...

Will you consider a small cc car in SG?

Owning a car here has quite a bit of 'upfront' cost ...all the taxes, insurance, etc...and since you want to drive around, petrol of course! :) so imho if cost is a factor, public transport, at least doesn't require all these initial investment. But of coz, with the price you pay comes...

    Av mode????

This mode in the camera allows us to control the aperture right? But if say like want to have shallow DOF (for bokeh or sth?) would u use this mode or portrait mode? Actually what is the difference between those scene selectors and controlling aperture (esp for landscape and portrait scene...
