I had this issue with the EP3+Panny 24/f1.4. Works perfectly now with the EP5; no more the infamous rattle. Do check if your lens firmware is up to date.

IMHO if you are looking at a ONE lens solution for the "super zoom" category ......maybe the Olympus Stylus 1 is a better option.

It is not just "0" second. It changes completely the way the EP5's shutter operates at speeds lower than 1/320s. The first mechanical shutter curtain is disabled and reverts to electronic, thereby eliminating the shake associated with the mechanical impact of the first curtain.

I'll take Robin's review/comparison of the Oly and Panny 25 with a pinch of salt ... somewhere in his blog, he mentioned being an "Olympus Consultant". And yes, he is indeed often partial to all things Oly. It wasn't always like this, especially when he first started. Anyway, my take on this...

Upgraded to Firmware V1.2 ..... No change on exposures. Still find the EP5's metering over exposing at default and reverted back to -1/3 and everything back fine. Have been using "Vivid" especially for some low contrast days. On "Vivid", the reds are fairly horrendous - need to dial this down, too.
