Went there last Dec... Lantau island Big Buddha is breathtaking.. not to mention the cable car ride.. Went Victoria Harbour but the smell of the sea is a big turnoff.. damn freaking smelly... Ladies Market is a terribly packed place especially at night.. had to juggle quite a bit to avoid...

Have you checked your exposure compensation? Is it at 0?

It's a rather heavy tripod but otherwise quite sturdy. I would only use it if I don't have to do much walking with it. It's way too heavy imo..

My heart broke into a million pieces at how he treats the cameras.. but it sure was fun watching him!

They provide shop warranty.. no international warranty but I think it should be cool as long as there is some kind of warranty... Am thinking of getting the 580ex ii from them as well..

Agreed. The 50mm 1.8 is really a very cheap and value for money lens. Might be a bit tight if you shoot indoors but otherwise do consider it.

There is video on YouTube posted by digitalrev that does a comparison between the different 70-200.. maybe you can take a look too..

You can also try camera hospital.. same thing happened to me when I was in kl. Paid around 30 rm so maybe locally I would accept the same price in SG? And also try not to use plier as you might damage the threads on the actual lens. Hope it helps.
