Got the Tamron 17 - 50 about 3 weeks ago. Great lens! Pretty sharp and the f2.8 really helps in dim light. Had a friend who also bought the lens. He gave up his kit Nikkor 17-70 lens and loves the Tamron 17-50 lens.
