thanks for all the input! I also did a search and found out the major difference between 450D and 550D 1) processor: DIGIC3 for 450D and DIGIC4 for 550D 2) ISO setting 550D definitely better. Hence 550D obviously wins 450D if we are to take Singapore F1 night race everything else being equal...

I just changed the setting of photo to superfine...then the photo seems ok now..less noise..and it becomes comparable to the pics taken by A520..not too sure about the pixels on CCD though..:embrass: cheers
