    Spiders from HSBC treetop walk

If both green- & red-coloured lynx were found in same vacinity, good chance that these are a pair of (most prob) adult female & male of the same species, respectively. Great shots:thumbsup:

Please ID these three spiders... Macro Macro:)

Hi, I also newbie in photography. Just one comment. For IDing of spiders, it will be good to have a dorsal view, other than frontal ones. Not sure about the first one (think it's a wolf spider, based on its eye arrangements), the second one is hard (may be an immature); the third is a...

    nikon d80 made in thailand

I uploaded the pics onto yahoo photowebsite. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/matlim/album?.dir=/cb04scd 2 pics. The original, and the really closed up look of the hot pixel. If you can't see this on the first pic, it is actually right on the tip of my rabbit's nose (it showed up as a bright...

    nikon d80 made in thailand

It was really pure luck (or bad luck?). Was taking pictures of my rabbit in my room (shutterspeed is 1/3s, fine, ISO 500, aperture can't remember but is the smallest digit that i can set; sorry I am still :thumbsd: at camera lingos!). Room lighting no good, so have to take at higher ISO and a...

"CHA" Error On my D70 LCD

I always thought that camera bodies are similar to a computer's motherboard, and the CF cards are like the RAMS or pentium chip. Say, the D2H works fine with Extreme III cards (you need the speed for that fps thing). Imagine in a few years time, an even faster card (supreme IV?) appears. You use...

evening/nite photography advise. External flash required?

i should be taking the animals within that range, most probably at frogs and etc. I don't think any mammals will be even there waiting for me to whip out my camera!:D

    My First Attempt At Dragonflies!

Nice dragonfly shots! See if you can get a good shot of the wings as well? Will be really tricky due to the difference in depth (depending on your angle I guess). Damselflies may be easier, since these fold their wings up. Anyway, keep the shots going!

evening/nite photography advise. External flash required?

Hi experts! Newbie here. Need a few tips for a one nite evening/night photography in a nature park overseas (Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam). Nite trekking will take about 2-3 hrs. I have a D70s and one kit lens provided. One extra 3rd party battery, 2 x 2GB CF cards, 1 x 1GB CF card. Bag...

    Very brave of "The Australian"

There will be people who probably do not fancy his 'gungho' style. In fact, I heard someone commented that "he actually had it coming"...... Though I do not fancy his style (as well as the new generation of 'naturalists' who jump into rivers/swamps to catch snakes n anaconda etc.....dramarama...
