If you are comfortable with lesser AF point and frames per sec. Looking at what you are shooting 5D Mark II is sufficient for you. Unless you are into wildlife and sports too.

Hi, My question maybe OT abit but it is still related to 50mm F/1.4. Anyone experiencing focus issues after using it for more then a year? Mine does not focus properly anymore especially when i switch objects to focus. Not sure if the problem is common.

Canon 24-105MM F4 so far the best walkabout for me. Love the colors taken. Just that for indoors, have to struggle abit.

My 50MM F1.4 broke down on me. Some times it does not focus automatically. Thinking of trying out Sigma 50mm F1.4.

The flash should be pointing towards your subject. Or you may consider pulling out bounce card from your 580EX II flash. Also remember to use high speed sync when you in daytime outdoors. If not, you are wasting battery power.

Great sky color. You may want to apply rule of thirds. Think will help a lot in the picture.

Since you are getting paid for your work. My recommendations is go for Canon 580EX II. Once you get it, you will not think of upgrading.
