Personally I don't think using long exposures for testing sharpness is a great move. It just enters another variable into the equation.

I get similar views here in New Zealand, only difference I guess is I can take the shots from my backyard in town :)

Personally too much contrast for my tastes. Nice results with the 55-250 though, good detail.

Probably the only upgrade I'll make in the next couple of years is from my 400 5.6L to either a 400 2.8 or a 500f4. I'll still keep the 400 5.6 though I think, such a light, easy lens to use in good light.
