Yah, it can hold up to 2 NB-2LH (400D battery) or 6 x AA batteries. It is an important and a 'must-have' accessory, at least for me. :D

Ok, this is the first time I will be going to buy my lens. How's the procedure like? I buy the lens 1st, go home do some test shots and review it. If I find the copy is a lemon, I can go back to change it? Or do I shoot with the lens in the shop and review it thru their computer? haha sorry...

Yup its a true walkabout lens for me. Don't feel like bringing any other lens or tripod along, maybe additional 50mm prime lens. So the tamron 28-70 is a sharp lens huh? Any shop to recommend?
