    Full frame benefit

Actually.... I would say the the opposite is true. That is if you are working with identical raw images in CNX2. Downsize the D800 images and is better at ANY ISO than the other cameras. You can also upsize the other cameras to the 36MP D800 size and the D800 would still be better. ;)

    How I fixed a dropped AFS ED 28-70 F2.8

...but I am sure he enjoys doing it. I also like to fix things, so I know the feeling.

    Nikon 1 J1/J2 User thread

The noise you see in the EVF has nothing to do with the picture and will NOT appear in the final image. The EVF offers great advantages in situations where the LCD is useless, like bright sun, or where you simply can't use the LCD because it disturbing the people around you. It is also easier...

    Full frame benefit

I don't know if you received all the answers you wanted, but here is my take. Going from the D80 to the D7000 will feel like a huge upgrade. The image quality, high ISO and the AF are just light years ahead of the D80. The D600 is even more ahead, but to get the benefit of the D600...

    How I fixed a dropped AFS ED 28-70 F2.8

Admit it... you like dropping things so you can have a good excuse to pull them apart and repair them. :bsmilie: After all, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Isn't that so? Anyway, keep on dropping your stuff, I like to see how you are fixing them.

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

You're welcome. I am glad that the link helps you. Yes, I believe there is everything you might want to know about the FT-1 but in case you want to know something you can't find, just ask. Don't worry about the slight confusion, I definitely don't mind.

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

AF with the FT-1 is only possible with lenses with AF motors built in. AF assist indication is available with all the "D" lenses, but of course, because those don't have AF motors, you must focus manually, but the focus should not be hit and miss because the focus indicator is very accurate...

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

Of course. The 70-200/2.8 is a stops faster, so it is of no surprise that it is better. You are comparing apples and oranges, two different lenses. It works well with all my lenses. Maybe the 70-200/4 is an exception, I don't know. Maybe that lens is not that great on other cameras either. My...

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

The question was: "Will the AF with adapter be just as good?" Good AF for me is about speed and accuracy. But you made a guess, so your guess is as good as mine. I gave information, you just guessed what he wanted to know. I let him figure it out from my experience and my message what he...

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

...hmm  ...perhaps you could have asked which one he meant. Or... ...could have told the price of both. Or... Mine was just an intelligent guess (people often make mistakes when they mean the 30-110), but saying what you said was totally pointless.

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

What makes you say this? Do you actually have the adapter and FX/DX lenses? I have, and according to my tests the V1 is as fast as the D300s and the possibly even the D800 with the same lens and under identical conditions. It is also extremely accurate. OK, only the center AF area works, but...

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

With AF lenses the AF is as good as on a DSLR, maybe even more accurate, but only the center AF point is working. I can't help with manual focus lenses since I don't have any. Did you check the manual?

Will you buy the New V1 & J1???

 Intelligent answer... :nono: ...not so... You could have said that: "There is no 30-100mm but there is a 30-110mm and it costs..." I could give him the prices in Sweden, but I don't think that would help him.

Fix your SB600 (by David Hilos)

Yes, I know that. What I did not know was where to discharge it and this thread gave me the key. In fact, I checked the SB-N5, the Nikon 1 flash, and it has the same solution, two holes under one of the rubber sides.
