    Lens for Nikon D5000

You're missing a point, TS is looking for a "good special purpose lens (bokeh effect)". Only DC lenses are consider "special" in my own opinion. What is cheap lens? If TS got only S$100 budget, even a Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8 still consider expensive to him. Or if TS got S$3000 budget, DC lenses...

    Lens for Nikon D5000

Can the older Ais lenses got the ability to make-out-focus areas appear softer by strategically introducing spherical aberration to just the defocused areas? They can't, that is why they are not "special". What make you think that AiS lenses are more easier to MF? Hmm, what I can think of...

    Lens for Nikon D5000

Why wrong post? Oic, wrong post because of the above. lol Cheap or not is neither for you nor me to decide. In this case, only TS can decide. Just because it cannot autofocus on a D5000 doesn't mean that it can't take nice bokeh pictures with it. Even if Autofocus is a must for TS...

    Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 User Group

I had read up on this lens. I will say it is value for money. As I am a DX user, I willing to pay more for the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 instead of Samyang 14mm prime which is the next lens i am getting. For now, i am getting my 70-200 VRII. Hehe. Furthermore, I got poor eyesight, so AF-S is very...

    Zoom Lenses

Mount onto your D90, turn the zoom ring to your desired focal range, press half shutter button and hold to autofocus your subject, compose your picture, then fully press your shutter button to take picture. Viola, this is how it works with D90 with autofocus mode.

16mm on FF is wide enough for landscape in my own opinion. Is equal to approx. 11mm on your DX. Do you think is wide enough for you?
