Through the talking with Canon guy, the coating and making process between the f/1.8 and f/2.0 is totally different. The f/1.8 was made under such though working process which 10 of the lens processing might not be 1 at excellent condition. And the 200mm f/2.0 will have the same coating as...

Is the defective on the focusing matter?? I have 2 friends who feel so :confused: Btw i'm waiting my order from Japan market for this 1ds Mk3 camera...the digic III processor is superb on 1d mk2...now can't wait to hand this camera

I've tried this lens just two days ago...it's real something and indeed need tripod and more lights. The magnification is real awesome

Hi Stevewhy, is the macro converter same as what i know as extention tube? And does the macro converter affect on the f/ or speed?

I do agree about the price. But since it is the only one of canon lens that could make such magnification, then i think it is tagged with that price. Any other use of MR-14 or MT-24 beside for this lens?

any sample of the pics you've taken bro? and the MR-14 is a must have too i think? would the flash make any distortion to the photo subject? cheers,
