Budget does not allow even to buy GX7. GM1 is best, and can cater to absolute novice as well. :)

Bought at HN for 899 with RWS Panasonic promo freebies. Body + 12-32 lens is very light but solid. In fact its almost as small as LX7.

Base on market perception that big DLSR is better.... it made sense for Olympus to follow the crowd. But on design language, i think they have lost their way a little just to please the crowd. The zenith of their design to me is the E-P5.

Lightning bolt is universal symbol for flash... no ? I am still not convinced about the ergonomics of the camera... have to hold it and feel it to know. But base on visual design, i prefer the E-M5 and E-P5 's design direction better.

Actually it looks exactly the same as the video photo The only difference is the lens on the mount. And this camera sure look better with larger lens, than pancakes. And why are they including X-sync port when it can trigger flash wirelessly? I still think this hybrid design doesnt really go...

Strange enough, i scrutinize this photo over and over again.... it looks exactly the same as the video one. except with 12-40 lens.... and what a world of difference it make to the look of the camera. I guess the E-M1 will look better with larger lens ... possible even better with 4/3 lens. And...

When you need parts urgently, money will become no object. We might one day have custom made cameras delivered within hours.. with 3D printing.

with 3D printing now, any parts can be fabricated almost instantaneously. ... except glass elements for the lens i guess. :) ... but we'll never know if its possible in future.

This is a good alternative to 7-14 and 9-18 ... if it comes with full AF on Pana or Oly body. Hopefully its not too expensive.

I think G6 look better than GH3. To me, the best looking mirrorless cameras are in this order, best first. 1. E-P5 2. E-M5 3. X100S . . if stretch a bit, the M240.

If you do have the SHG or HG 4/3 Zuiko lens,... then this camera makes sense. Otherwise, it will go down the Olympus history as the first OM + E hybrid and start a new line... If they really are starting a new line, they should not call it OM-D. PEN design has gone back to the original PEN...
