Bought a xpro 1 and 35mm over the weekend. Noticed that the AF is rather slow and loud compared to my D700 on a 50mm which is buttery smooth.
Firmware is updated to the lasted 2.01 for both body and lens. I have not taken any seroius shoot yet. Still learning the functions. But I am bit worried...
Did some tests. I pop the internal flash to trigger the sb900 which I set to remote. If I set the pop up flash to min, I notice my sb900 also reduce in power. Is that correct. I have no way to confirm this as the pic looks dark.
I have a D700 with a SB900. I am looking at doing a off body flash without popping the internal flash. I know this can be done but just cannot find the instruction to do it. I am not looking at other electronics to trigger this function. Only a d700 and a sb900.
Anyone done it before?
Maybe this the reason why the retail price is much cheaper in Malaysia. Anyway I puns another piece at $4300 Riggit. Still can negotiate. But I was in a hurry thus did not bit.

I like to take really close up candids. Ones that right smack at your face kind. Something different. Have not try the 14-24 before. So I cannot too sure if it is the kind of lens that I would use. Read the ken rockwell site...
