Hmm...I am confused hewland. It makes sense when you want to use a 800 film pushed to 1600 to shoot in lower-light settings.... but why would you want to pull a film down ya? :dunno:

yes, i have to agree that the price of the 2220 is a put off...coming at about $370 new!

thanks justarius....that sorta clears my head.... I am getting a tripod mainly for macro shots, and am thinking of either the Gitzo 2220 or the Manfrotto 190PROB... guess its decision time soon... :)

what do you guys think of the gitzo 2220?
