How about replacing 18-55 with 17-55?

well If im out overseas.. generally I will want lens that can capture most scenery view...as in singapore a walk about lens.. for hobbies actually..so no need to change lens often.. As i use the f1.8 50mm it seem to me i need to walk alot to get the whole pic i need and 18-55 IQ and low light...

for comparsion of 18-55 to 17-55 the IQ is better but range wise is around the same. Not sure is it worth the upgrade of the price tage 1500++ or getting 17-40 better? Im also thinking of sigma 30mm f1.4.. else I get a better tripod+flash instead?

I had 500D with efs18-55 and 50mm f1.8.. not sure to buy 17-55mm efs other lens or juz keep as it is upgrade to ff..

My 500D also encounter this problem.. went to the csc.,. they recomend me not to waste this money as the dirt or dust will come back.. unless unbearable.. Between how long should send for the camera for servcing or onli if problem occur??

Im also proud user of 500D for 1yr..been out to 2 country china and taiwan.. now wanting to upgrade my lens.. although a postive green light toward 17-55 efs but still think possible for 17-40 L.. as read up the it is weather seal but f4... while i use it for more outdoor shoots not sure will if...

How about 17-40 ef lens comapre to 17-55.. I using 500D.. wanna upgrade my lens.. still thinking between this 2..
