55-200mm has apperture of f/4-5.6 and 18-200mm has f/3.5-5.6, does larger aperture have any effect in terms of quality?

Help me decide... I currently have 18-55mm kit lens and planning to get a new Zoom Lens. Should I take 55-200 in addition to my kit lens or totally replace 18-55 and get 18-200mm lens which will cover everything. My deciding factor is quality over budget. How's 18-200 quality vs 55-200?

This is my first time to post picture here in CS. Im a newbie and recently took picture of my son. C&C's are welcome.

Personally, I use JPG just for simple photos like family events, snapshots and no extensive PP and I use RAW for photos that I know I will put extensive work on PP so I have much more control over post processing.
