normally you feel more difference for the 5mm at the minimum than at the maximum range.:)

if i'm not wrong, tamron's make should be 28-75? cause i happen to own one. I tried both before, tamron wins the sigma on IQ, but loses on build quality, if you mind the plasticsy feeling, then tamron is probably not for you.
