Thanks for all the replies ... In the end I brought back to service center and diagnosis was a failed DG PCB board ... Sent for repair.

Yeah i think they are but just don't believe that both doesn't work on the same time... I tried resetting but to no avail still blinking and no response. Thanks for all the suggestions. Anything else I can try?

Last night, my D80 indicated low batt. I Switched on, nothing, just batt indicator flashing. I swapped in an original battery fully charged previously, same thing, nothing was on and only the batt indicator was flashing. I then used the charger to charged the one of the 2 batteries again...

The new 18-200 DX VRII has a zoom lock ... preventing from zoom creeping ? :)

However, for macro lenses, is it neccessary to have VR when you're not using a Tripod ? convention says Macro Photography -> Need tripod, but what about when you do not have one with you ? If say you wanna take flower macro's is it still possible without VR ?

Bro ianwurn and any other users of the Sigma 150mm Macro HSM, how "usable" is the lens without "VR" when not using tripod for macro shots ?
