    Blade design and diaphragm shape different, so if u look closed-up, bokeh for 1.4 more blended and rounded, 1.8 abit hexagonal and edgy...another different is, 1.8 so hot u cant get it ( i tried weeks, or just my luck) 1.4 I think u can get it easily. This is one hell of a differnece.
