Found it, and no it's clear and looks surprisingly clean! The unit still is wet inside, but that's probably coz I've been opening it, and it was turned off in the morning, and it's been constantly bringing the humidity down!
No worries, thanks again for clearing this up for me!
Thanks guys! Sounds like it's normal after all, that's a relief. I'll turn it back on then! Yes I used to have it around 40-45% but lately it's been maintaining about 38% and I left it at that
I'm not sure where the sponge is but I should be able to figure that out, will check it too. Thanks again!
Hi guys. Posting here after quite a while, not had time for photography lately, sadly
Quick question: I was looking for a lens cap in my dry cabinet and couldn't find it. I was feeling around the dry cabinet (with the power off!) and felt water in the dehumidifier unit on the back. It was in...
I guess that's as good as you're going to get with this sort of camera - without a tripod. If you can keep the camera/phone steady (via a tripod) you can reduce ISO to a much lower setting, and even stop down aperture to a smaller setting, and you will get much better results. I don't remember...
How about the AF performance. I hear it's very good, and much improved, but how does it compare to a mid-range DSLR? I don't mean tracking AF, I rarely use that...but normal single-shot AF, is it much faster than the X-E1 etc? Is it similar to the OM-D speeds?
Coz I'm an X-E1 user right now...
It needs a bigger sensor to compete with the RX100. Otherwise, the daytime shots look great, but the night shots can't compare to the Sony. I used both RX100 and X20 for a while last year, and was quite disappointed in the end with the X20
You're definitely doing it right :) Really like the simpler shots like #1, #7, #10/11 etc (if I counted right!)
Just watch that shallow DOF, in one (or two) the face looked a bit out-of-focus to me. But really nice work overall!
Composition is quite nice, though maybe I'd prefer a tighter crop?
I think some increased contrast would suit the shot better; I'm also seeing a blue-ish tinge to the shot that I don't like
Overall, that's a pretty cool street shot :)
Just updated my X-E1 firmware. Updated the lenses too, even though that's all to do with the X-E2. In terms of performance, I don't see any improvements, but the new Auto ISO thing is very useful. A bit annoying that it reset the camera though - I had to do my custom settings all over again!
Yeah, I understand. I was actually looking at some older models, maybe 2012 model or something, like a Canon SX160, which is around this price range...but not sure how good it is, and if its better to wait n get something in the $500 range
Hey guys
My bro is looking for a camera for his wife for Christmas, n asked me for recommendations, and with these requirements, I was kinda stumped, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some advice!
He's looking for a large, 'prosumer' type compact camera that'll give her the feel of using a...
The sample shots look superb - good job! The camera looks far more capable than the Galaxy Camera, which I used a few months ago. The picture quality on that wasn't nearly as good as this, if I remember right
