So far so good for 70-200 VR 2.8 on D90.

I use Tamron before. Tamron AF is :thumbsd::thumbsd:. Then switch to Nikon. AF is :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:. No regret. Go for the best lens you could afford.
