Yes, if you dun mind to bring 2 lens. BUt if you lazy to change lens or you only have one choice that will be.. 17-55 By the way, you going on tour or backpack/drive? this is one of the issue as well to consider the weight. Most important things is enjoy along your trip and every moment...

I just back from Osaka and Kyoto last month. I was regret that do not have 24-105L for street potrait shot... But i'm happy with my 10-22 and 17-55.... due to the weight.... But luckily I din bring 70-200 f4.. if not sure i will lost my two legs.....walk too much So.. if can bring 2...

hey twitism, 10-22 won't give any fisheye effect at all. and colour contrast is shart and nice. worth to own one for taking landscape
