I use tamron pzd 18-270 due to lightweight and range it provided, but will immediately switch to tammy 17-50 at evening for much bigger aperture. In total i only bring more or less 2kg equipment in my bag (550d, 17-50, 18-270, extra batt), another kg for tripod
