you could try 2nd hand Canon A100 or maybe A200? should be within your budget.
However do remember that there isn't much settings to play with the cam. I know... cause i'm using the A100... :)
And also, you'd have to figure in the cost of the batts (rechargeable AAs or proprietiary batts)...
i got a set that's being used an a set that's emptied and put in the charger.
after i've used the freshly charged set for a few days i'll start to charge the set in the charger. if the current set still holds, i'll bring the charged set around as backup once the current one empties if i'm...
i just started using the maha charger with a new set of sanyos. i've also tried using a pair of sony rated 700mA that came with my discman. don't have the problems stated so far. maybe caused they're new? :confused:

basically it means adding another "background" layer beneath the layer that is the pix. expanding the background layer's width and length to say x pixels more than the pix you want to...

i've begun on a shoestring with a canon a100...
just want to be able to capture the kind of pix that i like 1st ie from basics... before putting the big bucks on a more expensive/better camera, so that it would not become a white elephant if i decide that digital photography is not for me...
