I have both ultra and extreme CF cards. Ultra cannot handle very high speed shutter so usually for birding, I have to use extreme card in order to get up to 8fps. There is no problem with ultra card for Video recording.

Yes, this lens can be used for birdie. Previously I have used 70-200mm for birdie but the extra reach should be much better. Just got it today and will be using it for the Kyoto trip hopefully can capture some eagle's shots there. :)

Thanks weegk and jeezuinn, The yawning from the monkey look quite scary to be honest, like the Dracula teeth. :bsmilie: There are many around Club Med Cherating, especially in the morning. These monkeys will climb into rooms where the windows are opened searching for food.

Just came back from Hokkaido on a 10 days F&E family trip. I brought a 7D with 10-22, 24-70L and 70-200F4L together with a 580II. Not forgetting a tripod too. :)
