thanks all. I spent the last two days hunting and I managed to get a used D200 body at (8K+ shutter count) for $1400++.

Considering the k10d but don't know if the 3fps will be enough for me as I'm a relative newbie at sports shooting therefore need more margin for error. haha.

the pentax k10d seems to be really good value. I wonder if 3fps would really affect my shooting. need to try someone's out.

yes I am! But recently have to withdraw from the sport due to some hand injury. That's why I've been selling so much of my gear on TGP. Just keeping my singlespeed 26" cruiser. what's your handle in TGP?

sorry. I don't have the 18-200 anymore :) i'm probably super anal about the weight. I'm okay with heavy bodies but not with super heavy lenses :)

Just bid on a 18-70. In addition to my use of 18-200, I found the lens creep to be highly annoying. Thanks for the suggestion. Now looking for an SB600.

thanks guys, yup I did have the 18-200VR, great versatility but it was just too heavy. PLus flash :confused:. okay, will suss out the various recommendations. I bought the D70s body only, no kit lens :(

Relatively cheap, for indoor photography with mixed natural/artificial lighting, portrait and group pictures, to be used with an external flash. I'm using a D70s :)
