    City Area Singapore

I like the second picture better - but both are not completely sharp. Did you use a tripod? If you did, maybe next time use a remote-trigger or the built-in timer to make sure you don't move the camera when pressing the shutter. Also make sure the tripod is stable, eg by hanging your camera bag...

    MD-D10 no more stock?

I was at Lords (Lucky Plaza) two weeks ago and he had heaps of these lying around. I would be suprised if they are all sold now, so try there.

    SB-900.

I paid 670 at Lords (lucky plaza) last week. gels: http://flashgels.co.uk/shop/ takes about 1 week to deliver to Singapore. Hot shoe diaries is addictive! I had the exact same response after reading it: 'need flash now' :)

    D300 Picture Problem

I sometimes have this with pictures on my hard drive after a while, I think it is related to a bad sector on the drive. So it might have something to do with your memory card, since it happens in camera. Do you have the same problem with other memory cards?

    Backpacking in europe

Before we send him the wrong direction, some interesting comments in the posts above: Norway is definitely part of Europe Marakesh is part of Africa (Morocco) and most importantly: Octoberfest is in Munchen and not in Berlin (and to make it confusing: it takes place in September...)

Beauty Portraits: M @ Pattaya Beach

Wonderful pictures! How did you get M so well exposed in the light painting pictures? Did you use flash after the painting was done, or was she just not moving for the whole exposure duration?

Flash + radio trigger sitting too high...

Other solution: connect your flash and radio trigger with a hot-shoe extension cable instead of direct. That way the flash can sit on the stand as it is supposed to be and you can hang the trigger on the stand. See example at the link...

Can someone help me clear something about tripod?

no, you take out the black screw. The black screw is specifically for video cameras, those come with two holes in the bottom to prevent them from moving on the plate. The second screw can normally be taken out of the tripod plate, so don't worry about that. You might want to reconsider your...

    min Aperture

Yes, aperture is mostly limited by your lens, not by your camera. That's why '2.8' lenses are so much more expenses than others. (BTW, although counter intuitive: the lowest number is the maximum aperture, not the min aperture; the lower the number, the further it is open, so maximum amount of...

What software for processing of Nikon/D90 images? Pls share your toughts

I'm very happy with LR, for the same reasons already mentioned above. Don't have any experience with NX2, so I can't comment on that. One suggestion: for that 1% of the time that you want to use a tool outside of NX2/LR, like Photoshop, why don't you consider Photoshop Elements? It does most of...

Sunset vs Sunrise - can you tell

If there is water you might be able to tell; in the morning the water will be really calm - so it will look more like a mirror.

Upgrade to D90 or D300 for better quality at high ISO?

To answer the original question (or better, confirm what others have said already): I upgraded from D70 to D300 a couple of months ago and the difference at high ISO is amazing. Pictures on the D70 at ISO 800 are not really usable, while pictures on the D300 at 3200 are still very good. I have...
