So why bother with the latest Canon and one fine L Macro prime lens?

Unless you are a big fan of strong barrel distortion, why this lens?

You will be surprised if this worn out coating probably won't give any noticable effect on your pictures.

Just get going! The only mistake would be spending too much time thinking on how to start PERFECTLY.

Choices of wide angle lens will be a problem with cropped body.

I have been reading about this getting all kind of awards from Pratical Photography since 1995.

Wow! With this sort of lens you will get hugh Quantity and no quality. You will definitely get better pictures with your 17-50mm.
