You can try using the burn tool.

For example, a 2 megapixel cam can take pics at 1600 x 1200 max resolution. That's 4:3 ratio. But labs usually process prints at 3:2 ratio, so you must crop it down to 1600 x 1067. If you're using PS, there's the crop tool. If you don't crop, the lab will either do it for you, or you'll get...

If you don't crop, you'll have white borders at the sides of the photo. Some labs can print exact 4:3 ratio.

I usually use "Auto Color". But sometimes the results are not accurate. In this case, I would use the channel mixer.

Well, mine is. There's usually a white line on the adjustable ring that acts as a guide. As for the degree of polarizing, I depend on the LCD to judge... If you shoot on, say sunlight reflected off a car's windscreen, you can see the polarizing effect by adjusting the ring.

The Yishun branch is more like a neighbourhood photo lab, but they sell a bit more stuff like card readers and some tripods.

You can crop it to 1600 x 1067 in size, but you will lose some parts of the photo.
