    105 days Europe Adventure

We stayed at Abisko Fjallturer Hostel, which is just a short walk from the Abisko Östra train station. The room rate is reasonable and they do have activities that you can sign up as well. Like many hostels, the 'door slamming' here can get on your nerve sometimes though. I would recommend...

#165 Kinderdijk, South Holland. Not all the windmills at Kinderdijk were in operations at the same time as seen in this sunset shot. Wind was fairly strong and a 0.8s was enough to achieve a nice motion blur on the running mill in the background.

#164 Kinderdijk, South Holland. A good way to enjoy a visit to the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the province of South Holland, would be to rent a bicycle there and cycle through the flat terrain at your leisure pace.

    105 days Europe Adventure

Unfortunately no sunset/sunrise shots of Neuschweinstein as I didn't want to hike the steep mountain paths in the dark with a sprained ankle I sustained in Berchtesgaden National Park the day before. Shooting the castle from the foot of the mountain just doesn't cut it, so got to pass on this...

#162 Hohenschwangau, Bavaria. An aerial view of Hohenschwangau, a Bavarian village, taken from a neighbouring mountain named Tegelberg at around 1,500m altitude. Neuschwanstein castle, said to be the inspiration behind the Walt Disney castle, is shown at the bottom right of the frame...

#161 Berchtesgaden National Park, Bavaria. Hidden in the Berchtesgaden National Park in Bavaria Germany is a beautiful small mountain lake named Obersee, where one can hike around it to rest at a paradise-like sanctuary. A splendid escape from the hustle and bustle of the nearby touristic...

Thanks asterix, nice to see you revisiting this thread again! It might be easier for me as I have a companion for mutual encouragement if the going gets tough, which makes your solo trips even more admirable to me. Really looking forward to seeing your pictures of your next trip. :)

#160 Füssen, Bavaria. One of many popular historic towns in Bavaria Germany, Füssen is also home to the the two famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau a short distance away. The medieval town is shown here overlooking the turquoise-coloured Lech river.

    | Page2 #12 Hamnøy, Lofoten. Considered lucky to have the fishing boats with the nice blue and orange hulls anchored while making this picture, otherwise it would not be half of what was envisioned had the berth was empty like it was on the google map.

#159 Ven, Skåne. A small pretty Swedish island lying in the middle of a narrow straits separating Denmark's Zealand and Sweden's Skåne county. Finally got to camp on a nice ground; along the ridge of a flower field with a sweeping view of the said straits called Øresund, instead of the previous...

Nice. Time to relive the memories of my Norway adventure with this thread.

#158 Stonehenge, Southern England. The mysterious Stonehenge, one of the most famous prehistoric monument dating back to as early as 3000BC, is seen here partially silhouetted by the morning sun over the Salisbury Plain. We were lucky enough to get a chance to marvel at these gigantic stones up...

#157 Great St. Bernard Pass, Valais Alps. Next to the Great St. Bernard Hospice seen in the background as well as #146, lies a small lake when the national border or Switzerland and Italy runs right through the middle. Taken from a small border guard post when convoys of Italian Vespa scooters...

Thanks Ben. It wasn't purely a shooting trip though, spent most of my time in the cities having fun instead of shooting actually. Didn't even finish planning the last 30days when we flew off. :)
