it feels lifeless because there's hardly any soul walking around :-D but the 'lazy' description did came up in my mind before posting.

A weekend leisure walkaround to relax ala photography. Did some sepia layering and noise addition to give it an old photo look. A crop of a wooden window, personal preference, as I like things simple. A lifeless but colorful view of Amoy Street on a weekend.

why not recall the moment you took this pic? clearly, either your friend or your camera moved when the shot was taken, and i think your flash was on rear curtain sync/slow sync. try setting your camera back to the same settings and play around... i think you'll be able to reproduce the same...

somehow, the noise in the pictures gives it a realistic effect, and it works well for the subjects and the environment.

there's a reason the moderators created sub-galleries for posting pictures... this should be in the Abstracts and Still Life gallery instead of ending up here. If everyone starts posting things haphazardly, then it'll defeat the purpose of creating sub-galleries in the first place.

i still don't understand why is this called a portrait shot. i can see no facial expression, no body pose, no nothing but a miniscule dot that you call a head. there's nothing interesting about this picture.
