    Sorry guys, I should have do some reading before I ask the question. Through some articles & posts, what i understand is that the exposure meter won't show me if the current exposure is "enough" or not. So shooting without the exposure meter will be like a guessing game - guessing the correct...

    I am currently looking at the Nikon Series E lenses, and wonder if it will work on my D40. I found this inside my manual: "Non-CPU: Can be used in mode M, but exposure meter does not function; electronic rangefinder can be used if maximum aperture is f/5.6 or faster" I don't mind shooting...
