Man Utd XI : Legacy continues

Man Utd is long overdue for a good defensive midfielder like Roy Keane. Carrick is not the best person to fit in Roy Keane's shoes.

Fergie bought Carrick for his passing skills. Fletcher is 'suppose' to take over Keane's role although he isn't really a defensive mid. Carrick is your standard midfielder with better passing skills while Fletcher is also just another standard midfielder but did really well in Roy Keane's role after he was sacked.

I'm more worried about Scholes' replacement and its long overdue.

Carrick can never fill keane's shoes because he's not a tackler. U need a MF who can pass, command, read the game and most importantly, tackle and win balls. A MF like Keane comes once every 20 years.

Yeah, that's right. Man Utd need an all-rounded MF like Steven Gerrard, Essien, Xavi, etc who can pass the ball, score goals and win the tackles always. Carrick, Flectcher are only good in one area but that's not enough for a team like Man Utd.

Berbatov misses trip!
Dimitar Berbatov has not travelled with the United squad for Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final with Schalke.

The Premier League's top goalscorer has had a groin problem and sat out the draw at Newcastle and Saturday's victory over Everton.

Sir Alex Ferguson revealed to MUTV that he hopes the Bulgarian hitman will be fit for Sunday's trip to Arsenal.

Midfielders Darren Fletcher and Owen Hargreaves remain unavailable and Bebe also misses out.

However, John O'Shea took his place on the plane despite leaving the field with an injury against the Toffees and Sam Johnstone has been drafted in as goalkeeping cover.
