thanks for the share rodney, for zoom h1 - i found that slight touches during recording creates "accidental" noise, i'm not sure if this set up can result in more of such type of noise (coz there's more components attached to the zoom h1)
3.5mm connectors are prone to jiggle noise and static for sure. Worse with wear and tear.
But the hack is a cheap space-saving backup in case of emergency.
The tiny Tascam DR-10x recorder with only one XLR input costs SGD320 locally, making it somewhat more expensive than bigger XLR recorders.
