Yet another 512Mb CF Rebate

i dunno the reputation of this particular online company (was actually looking at something else and got redirected), but i think the rebate is valid wherever you buy it, and you got 15 days vs the 10 days of the Dell/Simpletech

Wow! Just when I am starting to feel like getting a second 512MB!;p

Zones should be reliable because my company goes through them for all our PC/peripheral purchases.

I got to check if I can get the CF at special employee price laio...

with 10D RAW image at 6MB each....512MB only enough for 80 images

Is the 6MB already compressed or un-compressed RAW?

Mail-in rebates in US are usually limited to 1 per household, and must be in the US.

If you know someone living in US and don't need to buy one himself then you can get him to help you.

I am seriously looking at getting this myself, so I cannot offer my help.

On my camera, the avaialble storage of the SimpleTech 512MB after formating is 487MB.

So you can only store 48 photos of 10MB each....

hmm...my Twinmos only got 479MB after format ;(

manufacturers generally specify 1MB to be 1 million bytes. However, in computers or digital devices, 1MB is 1.048576 million bytes.

Theoretically, 512,000,000 bytes (or 512MB as claimed by the manufacturers) would translate to ~488 real MB.
