Hey csers. Sorry to trouble you guys again!

I'm in taking a look at a Yashica MG-1 tomorrow with a CSer for 75(Reasonable?). Sorry for not choosing the ones' you guys recommend cos there were none with the right price that I saw.

But first, I would like to ask. How is the 45mmf2.8 lens. Is it sharp? I saw the pictures on flickr and all, they look like they were taken from a lomo camera here. I'm not sure if it's an effect the photographer wants or is it just not sharp. Hope the past and present users can help. I have heard that the lens is sharp and has a nice contrast but it doesn't seem to be the case with the pictures I saw.

read up on yashica-guy for how to check the camera. take note about the pad of death.

images produced are very sharp with lucky 200 film the last time i tried, at least.
lomo effect is probably due to cross processing/ different kind of film used.

from your link, i feel the pictures look sharp, good even. if else it'll probably be a problem with the user and/or the viewfinder being dim/ not contrasty and hence not being able to focus properly.

more often than not, sharpness is user error.
