I found my mum's old Yashica MG-1 the other day and was wondering if anyone knows a bit about it. I've yet to get a battery to put inside and test it out tho.

I've noticed that the leaf focus is really hard to see. Is this a common thing?

Any info on it would be great! I've only really managed to find the instruction manual on the net.

I bought one a few weeks back. Didn't bother putting battaries as it works with flash mode at 1/30s f2.8. Shot 1 roll indoor using PAN 400 ILFORD at Ikea Tampines, effect not too bad.

Shuttle is pretty quiet and it's great for taking street photography.... People don't take me seriously when I snap at them, they probably think it's a toy camera. :) If you are not too concern about sharpness and all the technical stuff, it's a usable camera.

Yes, the viewfinder focusing patch is a little dim, can't complain about a camera almost as old as myself.

Fun to use... but not for someone who is looking for technically perfect pictures.
